A photography session with Maria Rushton costs £75 for up to five people (two parents and up to three children). For £20 per person, you can invite more family members to take part, although it's best to restrict things to immediate family so as to avoid those more formal posed shots. Each shoot takes approximately two hours, but Maria will not stop until she has captured images which she knows you will love. It's best if you have a couple of changes of clothes ready, to give the pictures as many different looks as possible.
Your shoot will take place wherever you feel most comfortable and at ease. It could be at home, amongst familiar territory and the trappings of home life. It could be in the local park, giving you a chance to stretch your legs and play in the leaves. Or it could be anywhere else – and not necessarily a traditional beauty spot. The important thing is that your chosen location is within an hour's drive from your home, and that it's important to you all, as this will make the final pictures mean so much more. About a week or so after the shoot, Maria will invite you to a viewing, where you can see the finished images and choose which ones you'd like to buy. This can be an emotional experience, as it will awaken fond memories of the shoot itself and let you see for the first time just how wonderful you all look together.
Framed images start from £145, while canvas or acrylic images start from £175. Second and subsequent copies of framed photographs are available for £35. These are unframed copies, only of images which have already been sold in a frame, and will be presented in a card sleeve.
